Appointments

THAMESIDE MEDICAL PRACTICE IS ROUTINELY OPEN MONDAY TO FRIDAY FROM 08:00 UNTIL 18:30.

THE PRACTICE IS NOT OPEN OVER THE WEEKEND OR ON BANK HOLIDAYS.

For ALL appointment requests please submit an online form by clicking ‘Contact us online’ below. The form is available 8am-6pm Mon-Fri.

Your request will be passed on to the on-call duty doctor for initial assessment. Depending on the nature and clinical urgency of your query, you may be offered a telephone or face-to-face appointment with a GP, or you may be referred to the practice nurse, pharmacist or another healthcare professional.

Please note, if you are more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, you may be asked to re-book.

Submitting an online form on your child’s behalf: If your child is under 18, you may submit the online form on their behalf. Once your child turns 18, they MUST submit the form themselves. Please also advise them to provide us with their mobile number as the new form of contact. They can update their details online via the ‘update your details’ option on the home page.

Emergency Appointments

If you have a clinically urgent issue, please submit the online form between 8am-6pm and you will receive a response from our team on the same working day.

For urgent clinical advice after 6PM, or if you do not have a computer or smartphone, please call the surgery and a member of our reception team will deal with your request.

Nurse Appointments

Our practice nurse is available to give advice and will consult with one of the doctors if necessary. Please be advised our practice nurse is in on Monday’s and Thursday’s each week.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Pharmacy:

Your local pharmacy can offer advise on minor illnesses such as: 

  • Coughs 
  • Colds
  • Sore throats
  • Tummy troubles
  • Aches and pains

Your pharmacist can also offer advise on medicines you can purchase without a prescription.
